There’s no doubt that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is one of the most extensively relevant single-player games of all time. Part of that obviously comes down to the fact that we haven’t had another game in the series from Bethesda yet, but aside from that it just remains a very fun game to play, even in the big 2026.

Equally, there have been so many fan-made creations over the years that have added to the overall experience further, with everything from full new questlines to cosmetics. Now, the game is about to see its latest collaboration go live, and it’s set to give players a lot more options for their home in the cold wastes of Skyrim.

Over on Twitter/X, the user Synth Potato shared a post confirming what might be the most random link-up Skyrim has seen yet. Essentially, Ikea have turned many of their most recognizable furniture items into in-game items for players to decorate their homes, and they’ll all be available as downloads via the Creation Club.

There’s still a lot we don’t know about the collaboration, as the only official communication there has been on it so far has been via a short trailer on the Instagram page for the UK and Ireland. There hasn’t historically been any region-locking in the Creation Club, so it would be a surprise if that were to happen here, but it might be that the connection is to stores in that area specifically.

The trailer does feature a massive Allen key inscribed with runes of some description, which is both funny and cool, but at this point, fans just want to be playing a new game. That has, in turn, led to a bunch of jokes about IKEA being in Skyrim before The Elder Scrolls VI, though the reality is that we aren’t going to be playing the next release any time soon.

As such, it might be nice to have a bit of a modern twist in your player home next time you fancy a spot of decorating, though its unclear whether the items come assembled or if you have to build them from flat-pack form. The video trailer suggests that IKEA is officially going to become canon in the world of Tamriel and Skyrim specifically on September 9, though we’ll have to sit tight to wait and see exactly what the pricing structure is via the Creations Club.
