Marvel GamerVerse has been rebranded to Marvel Games, and the first pair of Marvel Legends figures we should see arrive under the new moniker are here: the Marvel Legends Iron Man & Spiral two-pack is now up for order! Hasbro has improved on an already virtually perfect Spiral, and given us an all-new 90s Iron Man. Is this updated pair worth your dollars, Marvel collectors?

Spiral was among the best (if not the singular best) of the 2023 Marvel Legends lineup, so I wasn’t sure there was much room for her to be improved. Luckily, Hasbro did find some minor areas to tweak to ameliorate this release.

While the retro Spiral figure that I reviewed in 2023 had comic accurate fuzzy white fur on her boots, the Capcom fighting games version of the character is generally sporting fur with a greenish hue. The green is a really popping, distinctive color, so it really does make this updated Spiral feel more authentic to the games.

In addition, Spiral’s head has been redesigned and she now has a much nicer face. Whereas the original version had an expressionless face, Spiral now has a cruel smile etched on her face. This adds a lot of personality and enhances the figure a lot, in my opinion.

The other figure in this set is the Capcom version of 90s Modular Armor Iron Man. We’ve seen this permutation from Hasbro before, but rather than just updating the existing older mold, Hasbro is bringing us a 100% newly tooled figure here for maximum authenticity. Thanks, Hasbro!

We don’t get the humongous (and awesome) Proton Cannon with this release, but we do get some other neat extras instead of that iconic weapon. The multicolor energy effects burst is great, and I’m happy with the energy shield that feels very reminiscent of the MCU Mark 85’s.

Hasbro has this pack priced at just about the standard MSRP for two Legends in 2026, which actually feels okay for an all-new Iron Man and an update on one of their best figures. There are instances where I hate having to buy two characters together, but in this set I genuinely want both.

The Marvel Games Legends Iron Man vs. Spiral two-pack is now up for order and shipping out this fall. There’s still no date announced for the hot pink Shuma-Gorath (Gargantos), but I’m really looking forward to that release as well.
