Sometimes, Hasbro is able to time a figure’s reveal really, really well. Such is the case with today’s surprise two-pack solicitation! Less than a day after making her return to screens and MCU debut in Daredevil Born Again Season 2, Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones is ready to reemerge in action figure form as well: the Marvel Legends Daredevil & Jessica Jones two-pack is now up for order! Is it worth grabbing if you missed the older releases?

I actually really liked the original Marvel Legends Jessica Jones figure that I reviewed back in 2017 as part of the Netflix Man-Thing Build-A-Figure series. That figure had an outstanding likeness and a slick aesthetiv, but no one can deny that that figure was not perfect (even though it’s still been selling for 50 bucks and up on the aftermarket up until now).
One of the big weaknesses of the original Netflix Jessica Jones Legends figure was her utter lack of any accessories at all, but this time she’s got kit.
The alternate hands I complained weren’t included in 2027 are here. So is a swap out smiling head. So is a camera. So are a coffee cup and a smart phone. This is a Jessica Jones who’s outfitted and ready to actually go out and investigate stuff.
The other standout weakness of the 2017 JJ figure was the poor arm articulation (largely due to the jacket mold), and it appears that aspect has not improved for this release at all. Jessica is still saddled with single jointed elbows and no biceps swivel, which is a pretty big disappointment nearly a decade later.
He’s got extra hands, a swap-out aggro and neutral faces, his batons and a connector for the batons, so he’s well-outfitted too. Hasbro would be nuts to launch Jessica Jones solo, but it’s a little hard to get giddy about this Daredevil variant.
It’s definitely a bummer that Hasbro has yet to bring us the MCU Bullseye and Muse live action version figures that fans have been asking for, but I have to believe those are in the “eventually” pipeline. For the moment, I’m just glad to get Daredevil and Jessica back in circulation for those who need them.
The Marvel Legends Daredevil Born Again Jessica Jones & Daredevil two-pack is now up for order and arriving later this year. I haven’t heard if confirmed yet, but presumably this will be an online/Fan Channel exclusive and not at mass retail.
Thoughts on this set, MCU fans? Are you hoping for a future Luke Cage & Iron Fist set as well, or are you good in toy form as far as the old Netflix Marvel characters go?
