During SDCC NECA revealed a number of new figures from their various horror license. One of their licenses that I am a big fan of is their Elvira line. As I’m a big fan of Elvira. I have two figures of the first Retro figure and I am really looking forward to the sequined dress version (Red, Fright & Boo).
So I was very excited to see a new figure of Elvira on display. This one is called Scary X-Mas which is based on one of the specials. She does look very unique compared to the other previous versions as she has new legs with the boots on. The Christmas outfit looks fantastic. NECA is very good with soft goods and I don’t think we’ll have any problem with the white trims fraying.
The accessories are fantastic. She comes with a fully articulated ‘Creature Was Stirring’ which comes with a soft goods apron, a bowl, and a spoon. Elvira has plenty of accessories for herself; a bloody mary, a naughty list, a quill, and a tray of Gingerbread men killed in various ways. She also comes with an interchangeable winking head which we have seen with the previous figures but I can’t complain as it’s a fantastic head sculpt.
She is now available to pre-order here in the UK and I pre-ordered her immediately. She is meant to arrive just in time for Christmas this year. I hope NECA has more plans for Elvira where get Retro figures of her in different outfits and hopefully some Ultimate figures as well.
