The Pokemon Company has a major problem with scalpers for its Pokemon Trading Card Game as it continues to be undeniably popular. The company has talked about introducing countermeasures to fight back against scalpers and it looks like they will put their words into action in Japan at least. It has been announced today that The Pokemon Company will be installing facial recognition in the official Pokemon Card Stores to enforce store entry and purchase limits. If you wish to enter a Pokemon Card Store then you must consent to the use of facial recognition and will receive a numbered entry ticket which the system will ensure that that you can only enter once per day, with staff on hand to deny entry. There is one exception as preschoolers are exempt from the facial recognition software and can only enter with an adult.
