spirit of the north enhanced edition

It’s previously launched on Nintendo Switch and it’s had a good old outing on PlayStation 4. Now though Spirit of the North is coming to Xbox Series X|S with an Enhanced Edition due to drop in early 2021.

A casual third person adventure that plays with some stunning visuals, Spirit of the North: Enhanced Edition will release through Xbox Series X|S thanks to Merge Games and Infuse Studio in 2021, with it whisking players off to Iceland and left to explore the Nordic lands in the hope of piecing back together the lore behind it.

Whilst early 2021 isn’t an awful lot to go by, it will be an exciting time for Xbox Series X|S gamers as we get the opportunity to awaken the slumbering spirit of the north and take in a journey that focuses and builds around both companionship and discovery. Playing through things as a fox – much like in The First Tree – that has become entwined with The Guardian of the Northern Lights, you’ll be left to journey through the world, discovering more about a land that has been left ruined.

What’s more, the Enhanced Edition of Spirit of the North which will launch on Xbox will come with two exclusive skins – Auburn and White Marble – 4K 60fps visuals and gameplay and further graphical enhancements over the previous version of the game.

In all, the key features include:

  • Moving orchestral soundtrack featuring 14 original compositions.
  • Fall into complete immersion in 4k landscapes, complete with flawless 60FPS.
  • Explore the world with 2 new and platform-exclusive skins. (White Marble and Auburn).
  • Follow the mysterious Spirit Fox across a land left in ruin as you discover a lost civilization.

We’ll be sure to follow up with full release date and any further info as and when we can. Let us know in the comments if you’ll be taking in this delightful looking journey.
