Shows like Community and Mad Men put her on the map, but she’s also had high-profile movie roles and starred in critically acclaimed Netflix originals. And more often than not, she’s delivered great performances regardless of whether she’s doing comedy, drama, or even voice acting work. She has been a part of so many great TV shows and movies that it makes it difficult to decide which is the best. Thankfully, IMDb’s user reviews can be used to get a consensus on what the actress’s greatest projects have been.

10 Axe Cop (2012 – 2015) – 7.4

This animated series is an adaptation of a comic created by two brothers, one of which was impressively only a small child at the time. In the TV show, Nick Offerman stars as the titular character as he goes around taking down bad guys with his trusty axe.

Alison Brie can be heard in the last episode of the first season. She voices a group of identical cheerleaders who want to help Axe Cop on his mission. Unfortunately, the Cop thinks all girls are dumb, so they quickly become adversaries.

9 The Disaster Artist (2017) – 7.4

The Disaster Artist tells the incredible story behind the creation of one of the most popular bad movies of all time, The Room. It’s based on the memoir written by Greg Sestero, who was the line producer and one of the stars of the original flop.

Sestero is played by Dave Franco in this comedic biopic, whereas his girlfriend at the time, Amber, is portrayed by Alison Brie. Amber’s presence drives a bit of a wedge between Sestero and zany filmmaker Tommy Wiseau.

8 Weathering With You (2019) – 7.6

In this beautiful fantasy film, a high-schooler by the name of Hodaka runs away from home and travels to Tokyo. After making it to the city, he meets Hina, who’s a girl with magical weather manipulation powers.

Shows don’t get more unconventional than Robot Chicken. The long-running series blends stop-motion animation with sketch comedy and pokes fun at pop culture. Throughout the years, an incredible number of celebrity guest stars have voiced characters, including Alison Brie.

Brie’s tones can be heard in the episode titled “The Godfather of the Bride II.” She voices both a vampire Martha Stewart and a vampire lifeguard in the episode’s closing segment.

6 The Lego Movie (2014) – 7.7

Viewers follow Emmet as he’s tasked with saving the world in this surprisingly witty movie about the popular toy. One of the LEGO creatures Emmet meets on his adventure is a unicorn cat hybrid named Unikitty, who’s voiced by Brie.

The character is extremely happy most of the time, yet she also has a rare tendency to lose her temper and become very powerful in the process. She has a supporting role in the story as she assists Emmet in saving the world.

5 Drunk History (2013 – Present) – 7.8

The premise of Drunk History is an intoxicated narrator tells a story from history while performers act it out. Alison Brie is one of those performers in the season six episode “Love.”

The actress takes part in the reenactment of when Edith Windsor overturned section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act – which didn’t allow same-sex widows the same tax exemptions as straight people. Brie portrays Windsor’s former wife, Thea Spyer, whose death led to Windsor’s lawsuit against the federal government.

4 GLOW (2017 – Present) – 8.0

Brie portrays Ruth Wilder, who auditions for the wrestling show during her days as a struggling actress. Her in-ring persona is that of a Soviet called Zoya the Destroya, and she puts on a thick Russian accent for the role.

3 Community (2009 – 2015) – 8.5

A true cult-comedy, Community, follows the lives of a group of people who meet at the outrageous college known as Greendale. One of those people is Annie Edison, who is portrayed by Alison Brie. The actress is one of the few members of the main cast to remain on the show for its entire duration.

The character is highly intelligent and hard-working, yet she’s still just as crazy as everyone else at the college. Even in the later seasons when she’s matured, she still gets caught up in zany adventures.

2 Mad Men (2007 – 2015) – 8.6

This stylish and award-winning drama focuses on the advertising industry in the 1960s and on one of it’s leading men, the fictional Don Draper.

Alison Brie has a recurring role throughout the show’s seven seasons as Trudy. She begins the series as the wife of one of the main characters, Pete Campbell. Their marriage is filled with drama, and most of Trudy’s storylines revolve around those troubles.

1 Bojack Horseman (2014 – 2020) – 8.7

The titular character of this Netflix original series is a depressed former TV star who finds it hard to be a good person (or horse). Alison Brie is a big part of the series as she lends her voice to several characters. But the most notable one is Diane Nguyen.

Diane is a close friend to Bojack and one of the show’s lead characters. Like Horseman, she struggles to be happy, though her fight to be satisfied with her life hurts fewer people.
