This is the big one. The one we’ve all been waiting for.
Peacock has provided Dread Central with two officially approved, high-resolution photos of Baghead Jason Voorhees from Crystal Lake, giving us a proper look at our new slasher in all his glory.
Spoilers follow if you’re still making your way through the series.
Pictured here is Zachary Branch as the older teenage Jason Voorhees, adding another name to the long history of performers who have brought the slasher to life. Jonathan Tison plays a younger teenage version, while Callum Vinson (Chucky) portrays Jason as a child.
The first photo shows Branch’s Baghead Jason in all his glory. The second captures a moment from the finale with Linda Cardellini’s Pamela Voorhees, as Jason gets in his mother’s face and, for a moment, seems to forget who she is.

We’ve been going crazy with coverage since Peacock dropped all eight episodes of Crystal Lake at once. Honestly, I kind of wish they had spaced this out with two episodes every week so we could keep talking about it all the way through Halloween. Instead, the whole thing is here, and now we’re scrambling to share all the goodies hiding within the show.
Earlier today, we shared new photos of young Jason and one of Pamela Voorhees’ nastiest kills. We have well over a hundred images to share with you, and we’ve been posting across Twitter and our other social accounts. Follow Dread Central across our socials and keep an eye here over the next few days.
If you’re looking for our review, Daniel Kurland scored the season 3.5 out of 5, calling it “a campy, cruel love letter to ‘80s slashers.”
My feelings are more mixed, but there’s a hell of a lot to talk about. We’re not just going to dump everything on you and move on. This is fun. This is a moment. This is an event.
