Sonic Racing: Crossworlds already has a pretty hectic lineup of characters, but Sega‘s Year Two DLC roadmap takes things one step further. The Final Fantasy 7 Remake series, Persona, Godzilla, Hello Kitty, Bayonetta, Evangelion, the Dreamcast itself, and much more are all coming to the well-liked kart racer before the end of 2027.
Sonic’s most recent and surprisingly great take on kart racing is no stranger to bonkers crossovers. The game’s first year of post-launch content welcomed everybody from Spongebob Squarepants and Minecraft Steve to Yakuza’s Ichiban Kasuga, but Sega’s one-upped itself with Year Two.
Year Two includes free content drops throughout 2027, alongside a paid Season Two Pass with exclusive goodies. The free content starts with monster-spanking icon Bayonetta joining the roster, alongside a kart inspired by McLaren and Persona 3’s Aigis coming between November and March of next year.

The paid Season Two kicks off with a Godzilla collaboration on day one (November 3), bringing karts based on popular kaiju and a track that features our beloved, radioactive ‘zilla causing chaos throughout a city. Evangelion is up next with playable characters Asuka Shikinami Langley and Rei Ayanami, plus new karts and a track.
Sometime after, we can look forward to playing as Hello Kitty and Kuromi in a course that’s inspired by the wider Sanrio universe (if you have a favorite friend, there’s a good chance they’ve been hidden somewhere in the background of the track.)
Taking a break from crossovers, the Segaland pack goes back in time with a course that pays tribute to Sega’s entire history, arcade classics and home consoles included. Sega’s also introducing three karts based on classic arcade cabinets (Outrun, After Burner, and Super Megalo) and three karts based on its consoles (Genesis, Saturn, and Dreamcast), alongside a bonus Super Shadow racer for owners of both Season Passes.
And, finally, the Year Two Season Pass ends with two big hitters. A Final Fantasy 7 Remake collaboration is on the way, but all Sega had to show was Cloud’s Buster Sword sitting alongside a generic ring from the Sonic series. No word on what this collab includes, exactly. The other pack comes from the Reload Revival Royal pack, which presumably features characters and/or stages from all three modern Persona games.
