Switch 2 storage can be expanded with microSD express cards, and if you’re looking for some extra space on your new system, you might want to check out SanDisk’s latest product.

At Gamescom this week, the tech company, which specialises in memory products, has showcased its 1TB microSD express card, targeting (but not limited to) the Switch 2. It arrives roughly a year after the launch of the new system.

As highlighted by the website Notebookcheck, this card has already been made available in select locations such as the US (via SanDisk’s Amazon store) and has an MSRP of $429. It’s currently on sale, bringing it down to the slightly less hefty sum of $359. Still, that’s a lot considering the price of a Switch 2.

With games such as Final Fantasy XIV Online now available on Nintendo’s new system, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 arriving this October, many users are probably already looking to expand the storage capacity of their Switch 2 in the coming months.

You can learn more about microSD express cards, and the other brands & sizes available in our guide here on Nintendo Life. The Switch 2 is compatible with express cards of up to 2TB, and comes with 256GB internal storage.
