Alex Pardee Gives Weapons, Backrooms, and Obsession the Horror Trading Card Treatment

One of horror’s most recognizable artists is putting his own twisted spin on three of 2026’s biggest genre films.

Alex Pardee has unveiled three new entries in his Rabid Rookies Series 1 trading card line, parodying Weapons, Backrooms, and Obsession with grotesque, over-the-top character art that feels like a cross between vintage Garbage Pail Kids and modern horror fandom.

The trio includes:

  • “Principal Miller” — inspired by Weapons
  • “Captain Clark” — inspired by Backrooms
  • “Freaky Nikki” — inspired by Obsession

Each blind-bagged card is a limited edition of 650 copies, with 450 Base Editions and 200 rare chase variants randomly inserted into sealed packs.

The chase variants are themed after each film:

  • “7 Hot Dogs” variant (Weapons)
  • “Found Footage” variant (Backrooms)
  • “Bloody” variant (Obsession)

Each card comes sealed inside a magnetic collector case, with buyers receiving either the standard version or one of the rarer chase editions at random. Freaky Nikki is additionally limited to six per customer.

Pardee has never been shy about celebrating horror through his unmistakable art style, and these latest Rabid Rookies continue that tradition.

With Weapons, Backrooms, and Obsession all emerging as some of the year’s biggest horror talking points, it’s fitting that they’ve now joined Pardee’s growing lineup of collectible horror spoofs. Order them here.
