Marvel‘s over 40-episode-long Disney+ hidden gem with an 100% review score deserves a revival of sorts thanks to its protagonist and praised approach to its subject matter. There have been a major number of major Marvel shows since the franchise first hit the big and small screens, especially thanks to the MCU timeline delving into the world of television in the past few years.

Naturally, this means some series have fallen to the wayside in comparison to more high-profile releases. This is particularly possible in an era where most shows are watched via streaming, and thus audiences often need to seek specific shows out in order to experience them. Currently, this can provide new and different obstacles for less well-known series to overcome, and prevent audiences from seeing releases that aren’t trending or integral parts of cinematic universes that need to be watched in order to have a full understanding of a world or timeline.

That said, Marvel has demonstrated a willingness to revive television shows that means any release with more potential could well be picked up once more or revamped today, particularly if there’s a precedent to believe this could benefit the franchise – and this appears to be exactly the case with one underrated corner of Marvel’s on-screen offerings.

Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur Could Have Been A Perfect Way To Set Up Moon Girl’s MCU Debut

Despite maintaining some solid review scores – with Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur to this day having a 100% critic rating and 92% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes – Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur only ran for two seasons between 2023 and 2025, before coming to a conclusion with the release of the latter half of season 2 in March 2025.

Ultimately, the fact that many Marvel movie and show fans weren’t even aware that Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur was releasing during this time is a testament to both the relative lack of promotion the show received, and how much of a missed opportunity the series was, since the vast majority of those who did see it praised it for being a release that was fully able to engage its child and adult audiences alike.

As it stands, this means that Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur was fittingly teed up to be the perfect way to bring the character into the MCU – since, even if the MCU wasn’t to use the show’s exact version of the character, having a more long-term run for the series and promoting it further could have helped build the character’s popularity prior to a live-action debut. That said, Marvel still has the chance to go down this route.

Giving Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur The Daredevil: Born Again Treatment Would Be A Win-Win Scenario

If there’s one thing that releases like X-Men ’97 and the Spider-Verse movie series establish, it’s that there is a thirst for animated Marvel releases that delve further into the wider lore of the franchise, and focus on characters that have had less attention on-screen in the past few decades.

Given Daredevil: Born Again has established a willingness to bring well-received shows back from the brink and officially fold them into the MCU proper, it would stand to reason that it could benefit Marvel to do a similar scenario here with Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur – either by having the show become at least quasi-canon with a live-action Moon Girl then moving over to the MCU, or by having more of the animated show release as part of the franchise’s front and center schedule, akin to X-Men ’97 or Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

With Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur featuring a wide range of characters who are primed to emerge in the MCU’s upcoming releases soon – like Mr. Negative, Molecule Man, and the Beyonder – there’s more than one reason this would make sense for the franchise. It’s also a route that could help tie Marvel’s more well-regarded releases closer together once more, while encouraging new and old viewers alike to give them a watch.
