Creative Assembly has confirmed that a new Legendary Lord is coming to Total War: Warhammer 2 later this week.

Beastlord Rakarth of Karond Kar is coming to Total War: Warhammer 2 on March 18 – and the new content will be available for free to anyone that owns the game.

As per a press release from developer Creative Assembly, Rakarth mostly specializes in buffing his troops via strength and defense improvements and can call on the aid of big monsters like the Kharibdyss and the Hydra to decimate those that oppose him.

Beastlord Rakarth comes armed with The Whip of Agony which allows him to remove enemy monsters’ utility of inflicting Fear and Terror, and he’ll also have the Beast Armour of Karond Kar which gives him a bonus when nearby enemy monsters.

If you want to mount something up yourself, you’ll be able to get the Scourgerunner chariot, a Manticore, or Bracchus the Black Dragon.

As per the teaser (below), Rakarth is seen with a Carnosaur, a Stegadon, and a Squig – leading players on the Total War Forums to posit that Rakarth will be able to recruit monsters from other factions, too. Well, he is a Beastlord, after all.

The developers also confirmed that Total War: Warhammer II is due to get one more final DLC update, but there isn’t a lot of information about exactly what it’ll include at the time of writing.

Earlier this year, Total War: Warhammer 3 was announced and it’s due for release later this year.
