The Dark Knight actor Christian Bale is in talks for an undisclosed role in director Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder, according to Collider.
Love and Thunder marks the fourth Thor film, and the second by Waititi. Chris Hemsworth will reprise his role as Thor alongside Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, who will inherit Mjolnir and the mantle of Thor.
Bale is, of course, no stranger to superhero films, having starred as Batman/Bruce Wayne in director Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy.
Collider reports that Marvel did not respond to their request for comment regarding Bale’s purported negotiations.
Thor: Love and Thunder is due out in theaters November 5, 2021.
