Firstly I should mention that I’ve known about the Cool Merch since about the middle of last year, though I only have seen two of the three stores. I haven’t been to the Salisbury store yet. Strangely the Camberly store isn’t listed on their about page on their site.

I’ve been to the Camberly and Basingstoke stores and both stores have a very similar layout and both layouts are very clear so you can see all the products laid out very clearly! This review is based on my thoughts on the Camberly store and the pictures are from there too!

Cool Merchandise sells collectible figures, funko pops, vinyl, t-shirts, pins and various other pieces of merchandise from various pop culture properties all over the globe.

At the front of the store, they have a number of table displays with funko pops and t-shirts, Hoodies, backpacks and baseball caps dotted around them. They had ones for Star Wars & Marvel, Rick, and Morty and such like, etc.

Further in the store, they had large displays for Funko Pops and loads of t-shirts as well ranging from ones from Metal bands to horror t-shirts and all for reasonable prices. They were very neatly laid out on their displays.

They had a whole host of collectible figures and statues from Diamond Select Toys, Hot Toys, Sideshow, Kotobukiya, McFarlane Toys & NECA. All the higher end collectibles are in glass cabinets and for very varying prices from £30 to well into the hundreds of pounds.

There was a large selection of higher-end collectibles too including figures of Deadpool and Walter White etc. It was quite strange to see such high-end figures in a small retail store as I’ve only seen them in Forbidden Planet here in the UK.

They had a lot of the latest products and I was honestly very surprised to see that they had the NECA TMNT 1990 figures in stock. I’ve never seen them at retail before not even in the US when I went to the Gamestops there. They also had the NECA God of War and Bride of Chuck two packs. What really did surprise me was seeing a lot of NECA 1/4 scale figures more so than I’ve seen in all places except for Best Collectibles in the UK.

All items are clearly labeled so you know how much it costs before you take it to the counter which is great! Of course, some things will be more expensive than some places which are understandable as they have overheads to pay and such like. The only reason that I didn’t buy or anything as it was coming up to Christmas!

What I really loved was the number of fun collectibles on display such as the flasher Gremlin in the store which was a lovely touch especially in time for near Christmas when I was there!

The staff is very friendly and welcoming and I can vouch for the store Basingstoke too. If your in the UK and don’t know about the stores or visiting the UK I highly recommend visiting the Cool Merchandise stores.
