Disney reveals STAR WARS game updates ahead of THE RISE OF SKYWALKER

Since the premiere of The Force Awakens in 2015, Disney has done an excellent job timing new content in its Star Wars games to coincide with the release of new movies from the series. This year was no different. To celebrate the last film in the Skywalker Saga, 5 different games are receiving meaty updates. Highlights include additional maps in Star Wars Battlefront 2, new characters in Galaxy of Heroes, and more quests in Star Wars Commander. You can read a full rundown of the updates below.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalkerofficially opens worldwide on Friday and fans can celebrate the end of the saga with film-inspired content across Star Wars Battlefront II, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, Disney Magic Kingdoms and more. Plus, fans can enjoy up to 75% off select Star Wars PC and console games this holiday season.

Star Wars Battlefront II: Starting 12/20 – This update will give players the chance to play through a new jungle planet seen in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Plus, new hero appearances for Finn, Rey and Kylo Ren and reinforcements inspired by the film.

Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes: Available Now – The Sith Trooper, General Hux and a new Finn unit have joined the game. Plus, a new feature, the Journey Guide, gives a sneak peek at the new Rey and Kylo Ren from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Disney Magic Kingdoms: Available Now – Star Wars is making its debut in Disney Magic Kingdoms with a brand-new land addition, characters, attractions, concessions, decorations and a limited-time event story.

Star Wars: Commander: Available Now – A new 4-week long event starts today where players can assist Maz Kanata to retrieve relics from smugglers. By completing quests, players can earn the powerful new cavalry unit, the Orbak Marauder.

Disney Emoji Blitz: Available Now – 12/23 – The Kylo Ren Villain Event is back with a new Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker look for Kylo’s emoji. Collect lightsabers during this limited-time event to defeat Kylo Ren and acquire his emoji.
