An ancient board game turns up in a remote cabin with a violent past, and every roll of the dice brings a deadly fate to life. That is Survive: The Game, which is shooting in Spain right now with Olivia Holt, Jaimie Alexander and Rohan Campbell, and Scout Taylor-Compton directing.
Deadline broke the casting on Wednesday. Taylor-Compton co-wrote the script with Michael Kennedy, who wrote Heart Eyes, the Valentine’s slasher Holt headlined. The friends who find the game have to finish it to get out of the cabin alive.

Two Rob Zombie Halloweens and a Halloween Ends
Taylor-Compton played Laurie Strode in Rob Zombie’s Halloween and Halloween II. Campbell played Corey Cunningham in Halloween Ends. Both have kept working the genre since: Campbell in Silent Night, Deadly Night and Netflix’s Below, Taylor-Compton behind the camera on Road to Recovery and as co-director of Last Chance Motel with Danielle Harris.

“I’ve played the final girl,” Taylor-Compton said in the announcement, before asking, “What if the thing chasing you isn’t outside the door?” Producer Randy Wayne called her “a powerhouse with an extreme attention to detail and an unmatched drive.”
Jaimie Alexander Has Been Here Before
Alexander is best known as Lady Sif in the Thor films and as the lead of Blindspot, but she has been in horror since Rest Stop in 2006. Her genre credits run further back than either of her co-leads’.

Randy Wayne and Talia Bella produce for Rebellium Films, with Tom O’Connell and Taylor-Compton for Building Blocks Productions and Amy Covell for Red Phoenix Productions. Leire Apellaniz of Sr. y Sra., Mark Albela, Michael Kennedy and Dauntless Productions are executive producers. The shoot is based at Zinealdea Studios in Gipuzkoa with location work in Irún, and Deadline reports the production sees franchise potential in it.
No distributor is attached yet. Taylor-Compton spent two Halloween movies running from Michael Myers, and this time she is the one deciding who gets caught.
