“My Bloody Valentine”

The past has a way of repeating itself. For the small mining town of Valentine Bluffs, a killer is on loose once again. As aspiring horror actress Rhona will find out, revenge spans the generations.

But who is behind the pickaxe this time? Can the survivors of the 1981 Valentine’s Day massacre stop the killings before it’s too late? Who was the man that survived the Hanniger mine explosion? Collect the series to find out!

Reviewer Notes

Great, now I must go rewatch this classic slasher movie, as American Mythology Productions has piqued my interest. What a blast from the past this was. I was only nine years old when this movie came out, but lucky for me I had terrible parents that let me watch stuff like My Bloody Valentine. No, I couldn’t see the Amityville Horror or the Exorcist because it was “too scary”. But, go ahead and watch the masked miner slam a pickaxe Into a woman’s face. Thanks, mom! Your logic was truly baffling.

American Mythology Productions has been knocking it out of the park with their renditions of various 1980s horror movies. The writing is very solid, with care not to abandon the source material, which I respect. I look forward to seeing the indie publishers take over the market – as they did back in the 1980’s and early 1990’s.

I give this issue a very solid four out of five stars. With the extra bonus material and production work, I can’t wait for the next issue. Thanks, AMP!
