The official trailer for John Wick: Chapter 4 has just been released, which means you can now see a sneak preview of Rina Sawayama’s role in the film. The pop star plays a fighter named Akira and she appears two times in the clip, one of which captures her sword fighting. Watch the trailer below.

Sawayama was announced as a cast member in John Wick: Chapter 4 back in May 2021. “I’m so glad to have Rina on board to make her feature film debut in John Wick: Chapter 4,” Stahelski told Deadline last year. “She’s an incredible talent who’ll bring so much to the film.”

The fourth installment of the Keanu Reeves-led franchise is directed by Chad Stahelski and also stars Bill Skarsgård, Donnie Yen, Laurence Fishburne, and Hiroyuki Sanada. John Wick: Chapter 4 hits theaters next year on March 24.

John Wick debuted in 2014. The second film in the series arrived in 2017 and had a cameo from Common as the minor villain Cassian. Common did not reprise the role for 2019’s John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum.

Sawayama released her sophomore album Hold the Girl, the follow-up to her 2020 debut Sawayama, earlier this fall. She’s currently touring in support of the LP. Earlier this year, Sawayama covered Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever” and collaborated on singles with Charli XCX and Pabllo Vittar.
