The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum NeNe Leakes posted a sweet video in memory of her late husband Gregg Leakes following the announcement of his passing this week. Gregg was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2018. The RHOA husband went into remission after undergoing chemotherapy treatments, but his cancer unfortunately returned this year. NeNe and Gregg were married for 14 years. The couple reconciled after divorcing in 2011 and remarried in 2013.

A leaked video of NeNe speaking at her nightclub, The Linnethia, revealed Gregg was losing his second battle with cancer. After club patrons accused NeNe of slighting a guest’s birthday, the Bravo star took to the mic to explain the secret stresses she faced. The reality star sadly announced her husband was transitioning to the other side. Following NeNe’s statements at her lounge, the star said she was “broken” in a cryptic Instagram post. Soon after Gregg’s condition was revealed, the Leakes family issued a press release Gregg passed peacefully at home among family and loved ones. A rep from the family announced the Leakes were in deep pain following the father’s passing.

NeNe has yet to make a statement following Gregg’s death. NeNe did, however, post to Instagram for the first time since her husband’s passing with a tribute to her late sweetheart. The OG Atlanta housewife shared a video of she and Gregg sharing a sweet moment on a dance floor. In the clip, NeNe and Gregg smile at one another and hold hands while dancing to “It Would Be You” by Johnny Gill. NeNe simply captioned the video tribute with broken heart emojis.

Fellow Atlanta housewives offered their messages of support to NeNe in the post’s comments. “Such a beautiful moment,” Porsha Williams wrote. Stars from other Housewives franchises showed love to NeNe under the post. “So so sorry for your loss Nene,” The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards wrote. “Sending love to you and your family.” Bravo’s Andy Cohen shared his grief on Twitter, stating he was heartbroken over Gregg’s passing. Andy said he joking called NeNe’s husband “‘Pastor Leakes,’ but in truth, he was a strong voice of reason & commanded great respect among the entire #RHOA team.” Other co-stars of NeNe’s made heartfelt tribute posts of their own in Gregg’s memory, sending positivity the Leakes’ way.

The often vibrant NeNe may lay low for some time in the aftermath of her husband’s death. With so many co-stars and Bravo celebs offering their messages of support and fond memories to NeNe, the reality star will be able to look back on Gregg’s impact on everyone he met. Fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta are rooting for NeNe on her healing journey.
