Fans of The Bachelor and Bachelorette will recall that at least once a season, someone shouts about dealbreakers before promptly riding off in the limo, likely in tears. Now Bachelor Nation has shared some of their own leading men dealbreakers on Reddit. The answers are ranging from the more serious issues of whether or not their partner would want to have kids, to the goofier answers of not wanting someone who is a “gym bro.”

On each season of The Bachelor and Bachelorette, over two dozen singles all compete for the love of one lead. Over the course of the franchise, these dealbreakers have played out, such as when Rachel Lindsay broke up with Peter Kraus when he was not ready to propose to her the next day. Another serious dealbreaker came on single mom Emily Maynard’s season of The Bachelorette when one of the men said he did not like and want to have any kids. The most recent Bachelor, Matt James, had a hilarious dealbreaker of his own, spicy foods, but said other more serious differences in religion are not necessarily dealbreakers. Matt also struggled with overcoming issues from Rachael Kirkconnell’s past that appeared to be dealbreakers, though the pair confirmed they are dating again.

The question of dealbreakers posed on Reddit led to fans sounding off on their own personal nonstarters, which for many people revolve around their partner needing to love animals. Many said that if their partner did not love their pets, it would be over immediately. One user had a different idea and remarked that “it reminded me of the one time I went out with a guy and he told me how much he liked The Big Bang Theory” as what led them to end it.

One Redditer looked at it from the production angle of making a reality TV show. They said since it is a show, they would not actually be looking for love and they would be “sending home all the down to earth, no drama, calm people and keeping all the messy af people” for the chaotic energy. One user quipped in response that they “hate this, but also respect the hell out of it.” Other totally unacceptable behavior includes people who “put ketchup on their eggs” and “at this point, anyone named Garrett.”

Others had dealbreakers more geared towards their interests saying they could not date anyone who “doesn’t geek out over Marvel or other related movies.” Another noted that if would be over if someone shows “no interest in things I love,” adding that they have to “at least enjoy it because I do…like The Bachelor.” As a lead, one user said “if they didn’t like cilantro or cats I would have to send them home immediately.” One commented that “my list of dealbreakers is longer than my list of traits I’m looking for, so I’m gonna spare you all.”

Bachelor Nation sounded off on their dealbreakers, with many saying politics and religious beliefs played a pretty big role in their dating life, while others had lighter takes on the question. Sorry to all people who ” do not put shopping carts away” and are “sincere Michael Bublé fans,” it just might be a dealbreaker. Fans cannot wait to see what sort of dealbreakers emerge from Katie’s season of The Bachelorette.
