Based on the Filipino comic by Budjette Tan and Kajo Baldisimo, Netflix‘s animated series “Trese” premieres this Friday, and the first 5-minutes of the premiere have been unleashed.

In the series, “In Manila, where dark supernatural forces pervade the criminal underworld, it’s up to Alexandra Trese to keep the peace — but there’s a storm brewing.”

Alexandra Trese may be the last hope for humanity in “Trese,” set in a world overrun by creatures of the night. Watch the first 5-minutes below to get a taste of this dark world…

“Trese” is coming to Netflix on June 11, 12 midnight Philippine time.

The debut episode is written by Tanya Yuson, and directed by Jay Oliva.
