“Star-Crossed”
Something strange is taking place in the domed country of Latveria, and Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four is determined to find out! As the team approaches Doctor Doom’s defensive barrier, Reed and Sue discuss how the Sorcerer Supreme could even get enough metal to build such a structure. Magic. That was the only explanation.
Then Johnny attempted to access the interior by melting the exterior shell with his powers. A flash of light slams the Fantastic Four, and within seconds, Reed, Susan, Johnny, and Ben find themselves surrounded by an alien environment unlike anything they had ever experienced before. This was not Latveria. It wasn’t even the Earth. But, where were they?
Had the new Sorcerer Supreme sent them to another plain of existence? Was this a new planet somewhere among the stars? Or, was the Fantastic Four trapped in another nightmare altogether? Collect the series to find out!
Reviewer Notes
Well, this was a weird one to be certain. Johnny Storm must hold the record for the most disastrous relationships in Marvel Comics. Will the Human Torch ever catch a break? If you want variety in your comic book stories, the Fantastic Four has the biggest range of subjects.
I liked this one, even if it was filler material. I’m giving #25 a solid four out of five stars. I think Johnny needs to jump on Tinder of Eharmony. No time like the present. Go, Johnny, go!
