“Florida Man Vs. Hogzilla! – Part 01”

Finances are tight right now for Gary and Krystal Duba. Gary’s tarantula smugglin’ business has just been blown sky-high by sum liberal anti-American, and Krystal is back in county lockup for food stamp and cocaine violations.  Well, mostly the cocaine thing. Now Gary has to look for a new source of revenue.

Wait. The radio just announced that FoneBone Ceo has just offered $100,000 cash money for the  largest snake in this year’s python catchin’ contest. Gary is back, baby! God bless the good ol’ USA! Now to get Krystal out of the pokey, and sober her up for a week of wrastling. That’s life in the Sunshine State.

Reviewer Notes

Well, this was an unexpected surprise. I became a fan of American Mythology Productions books after reading their Fright Night adaptation. So when Florida Man vs Hogzilla released last month, I grabbed a copy solely based on the cover art. To be honest, I had no idea Florida Man was an established universe. As a fellow child brought up in a blue collar lifestyle, issue one has such a relatable vibe. I love it!

The art and writing are top-notch here. If you need a relatable reference, I would say Florida Man is a cross between the Trailer Park Boys and Swamp People television shows. I can’t wait to dive into issue number two, as this one gets five out of five stars from me.
