Finally, the highly anticipated satanic cult film from Deranged Minds Entertainment, “Inverted,” will be released next week. This film has been on our radar for the past few years, and I’m excited that we will soon have the opportunity to see the work of filmmakers Destinie Orndoff and Tristan Clay. Check out the trailer and press release below.
Today, the award-winning duo behind Deranged Minds Entertainment announced the official release date for their second feature-length horror film, “Inverted.” Splatter fans will be able to stream or purchase “Inverted” on DVD beginning May 28th.
Deranged Minds says, “Inverted is a psychedelic 1970s exploitation epic.”
The film follows an off-the-grid satanic cult in the 1970s that kidnap a group of hippies to brainwash and recruit for the Holy War against the second coming of Christ. The group has a choice to join the war or fight to survive one of the most brutal satanic cults in the annals of American history.
Mother Alma Fines (leader of the cult) is portrayed by Susan Lanier, star of Wes Craven’s 1977 cult classic, “The Hill’s Have Eyes.” Other notable cast members include Maria Olsen (“I Spit On Your Grave: Deja Vu”), Jeremy Gladen (“I See You”), Hannah Keeley (“No Game Like Foxes”) and Destinie Orndoff (“Red Eye“).
“Inverted” is an original story by Orndoff with the other half of Deranged Minds (Tristan Clay) directing. Deranged Minds added,
“Getting Inverted to the finish line was no easy feat but f*ck are we happy it’s finally here. It wouldn’t have been possible without the horror community supporting us. We also can’t thank the folks over at Twin Engines/Desk Pop Entertainment enough for believing in our nasty slice of throwback cinema in its entirety.”
Deranged Minds Entertainment was founded in 2015 by 18-year-old aspiring filmmakers, Tristan Clay and Destinie Orndoff. The dynamic duo became friends at an east coast horror convention earlier that year and quickly decided to work together to make their childhood dreams of becoming filmmakers a reality. You can watch their first feature-length horror film, “Red Eye” now on DVD and streaming.
