Beneath the Darkness Rotten Tomatoes

Bad movie enthusiasts rejoice, we have a treat in store for you. Martin Guigui’s Beneath the Darkness, which holds the dishonorable distinction of being ranked as the sixth-worst horror film of all time by Rotten Tomatoes, is now available to stream for free. Hooray!

In addition to sitting at a perfect 0% rating with Rotten Tomatoes critics, the film boasts (?) an approval rating of just 15% from Rotten Tomatoes audience members. Additionally, the picture sits at a well-below average 4.5 out of 10 from IMDb users. Yikes.

If you are a glutton for punishment, or maybe you are just a curious soul with time to burn, you can find the picture available on Tubi as of the publication of this post. The advertisement-averse set will be pleased to know that the flick is also accessible on Hulu.

I have a vague recollection of taking in this much-maligned offering more than a decade ago and can’t recommend it as an entertaining effort. But I can safely say that anyone who enjoys riffing on bad movies with a group of friends will likely find plenty to (dis)like about this 2012 offering.

Beneath the Darkness features the legendary Dennis Quaid in a starring role but the seasoned thespian’s talent is sadly wasted. Starring alongside Quaid are Tony Oller, Aimee Teegarden, Stephen Ford, and Devon Werkheiser.

The setup goes as follows: After watching their best friend get murdered, a group of teens struggle to expose a local hero as the vicious killer and keep from becoming his next victims.

That’s all we have for you for the time being, dear reader. But please stay tuned to the site for more exciting updates on what’s streaming where in the near future. Additionally, be sure to follow @DreadCentral on Twitter so you never miss an update.
