Reviewer Notes
The story continues and continues with no end in sight. Who is the demon character that was introduced in the last issue and roams the lands? Better yet, who is the god speaking with the mystery demon? Ymir? Crom? I have no idea. The ambiguity of it all is becoming as taxing as the generic gray walled castles the armies fight in front of. Are they in front of Nordal Keep, Emberfall, or someplace all together different?
I don’t want to dislike this series, but Torunn Gronbekk is really making it hard not to. I’m giving this issue two out of five stars. I like the art here, but my interest is fading fast. Dynamite should have wrapped this series up months ago before releasing Empire of the Damned, as now there are two competing products that may taint the sales of the other. Just my thoughts on the matter.
