Helen of Wyndhorn – Volume 01 Issue 02

My Rating

Rating: 5 out of 5.

“Helen of Wyndhorn”

Thomas Rogers has become a celebrated author now with his biography of legendary fantasy master C.K. Cole. One thing keeps returning to his thoughts, however. Were all the stories from the Lilith Appleton interview true? Was there a real world of monsters and magic just beyond the veil near Wyndhorn house? A feeling of sadness sank to the bottom of Tom’s stomach. He thought to himself for a moment. Why was he so afraid to include the real events in his book?

Lilith had passed away a year prior to its release, so Thomas could not approach her with follow-up questions. All he had was a collection of micro-cassette recordings from her interview sessions. But where had he put them? The gray box! They must be in there. Over the next few days, Thomas, at the despondency of his husband, systematically turned over their entire home looking for the tapes.

Was Thomas a coward for not sharing Helen and Barnabas Cole’s entire story? What happened to the daughter of famed fantasy author C.K. Cole? Did Helen’s governess embellish her first-hand accounts while living at Wyndhorn? Collect the series to find out!

 Reviewer Notes

Another fantastic book with some amazing artwork. The story is very intriguing as we step back and forth through the various decades. I have a feeling Helen will become the newest guarding of Wyndhorn house – my pure speculation, of course. There is some modern “messaging” here that I feel Tom King could have left out. Other than that, I do recommend this series for any fans of Conan and Red Sonja out there.

I give this issue five out of five stars. This series would make a great coffee table book when it concludes. I would buy a copy. Until next time.
