Army Of Darkness Forever – Volume 01 Issue 05

My Rating

Rating: 3 out of 5.

“Welcome Back.”

S-Mart – 1993 AD, Ted didn’t make it to work today. But what happened? Let’s just say he had a terminal case of the minis. Linda knows something is wrong as Ash won’t play house in the empty store. Why is he such a computer nerd all of a sudden?

Elsewhere, in post-apocalyptic America, the virtual Wiseman has led future Ash to the “final page” of the destroyed Necronomicon. Ironically, it lies underneath the one place Ash never wants to return. The cabin in the woo… Oh, wait. The charred cabin in the scorched woods! Is this some kind of sick joke? Ash prepares his Zoom Stick for action.

Why is 1993 Ash so interested in the World Wide Web all of a sudden? Is there really a thing called a Demon Torpedo? Will Sheila finally reunite with her former King? Collect the series to find out!

Reviewer Notes

Very little advancement in the storyline with this issue. We get a few callbacks to the cabin in the woods scene, as well as the return of the pesky swarm of mini-Ash. That’s about it. Hopefully the surprise ending here leads to something awesome.

For this issue I’m going with a three out of five star rating. If Evil Ash is in both the past and the present, who’s running things in the future world? Is there a perfect trinity of Ash? I can’t wait to find out.
