This article is a bit different from my normal articles, as I never covered Boss Fight Studios all that much before, but I was inspired to write about it just after I pre-ordered it before Christmas.
Boss Fight Studios. has mostly till this point in time only done figures in the 1:18 scale figures which I am very impressed with (especially the Zorror movie figures) Usually under the Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S. banner. They have started dipping into the One:12 scale with the Saurozoic Warriors figures & Strawberry Shortcake figures, as well as the Epic H.A.C.K.S Skeleton figures. So Red Sonja would be the first licensed character in the Epic H.A.C.K.S. line. I know that various companies have done figures of Red Sonja over the years, with Loose Collectibles being the latest company to do one. Which I didn’t even know about till it was too late and it was rather out of my price range.
Much to my surprise Epic H.A.C.K.S. revealed their first One:12 figure, Red Sonja! I tried pre-ordering her off the Epic H.A.C.K.S. website and the shipping to the UK was almost as much as the price of the figure itself. Then a few days later she popped up on Props & Replicas and I immediately pre-ordered her straight away!
For several years, I have wanted a Red Sonja figure and the Epic H.A.C.K.S. one really scratches the itch! She comes with multiple headsculpts including a more classic-looking headsculpt with matching hair and two more heads with a more modern look. Interchangeable hands and armor pieces and several weapons. She only costs less than £50 here in the UK which is great for a high-end figure from an independent company I’m very excited to get her later this year and I’m extremely curious to see what other licensed characters will appear in the Epic H.A.C.K.S. line, I would really love to see a Conan figure in this line as well.
