Bahnsen Knights, the long-awaited third entry in LCB Game Studio’s Pixel Pulps anthology, is now available on PC via Steam. Bahnsen Knights will also be headed to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on January 18, 2024. A Steam demo is also available for you prospective buyers.

Bahnsen Knights is a standalone story in the Pixel Pulps anthology, which is a series of interactive fiction tales inspired by early 20th century pulp fiction, with art paying homage to 1980s home computer graphics. The year is 1986, in Tornado Alley, USA. The religious cult known as the Bahnsen Knights reigns terror on the highways as biblical storms rain havoc on the population. Their leader, a former car salesman named Toni, preaches hell is not below us, but above, as he leads the Ford Sierra-driving cultists across the country, performing “route exorcisms” along the way.

You must infiltrate this cult as Boulder, an undercover agent attempting to dismantle them from within while hunting the whereabouts of his missing partner, Cupra. Establish trust with cult members to navigate hostile waters without arousing suspicion. Reveal their intentions as a cryptic collective and undermine their achievements via minigames, puzzles, and choice-based, branching storylines that can lead Boulder to the solution…. or a number of grisly demises.

Bahnsen Knights is utterly human in a shared universe with cryptids and vampires,” said Shintaro Kanaoya, founder and CEO of publisher Chorus Worldwide, “And it’s all the more grim for it. LCB really explores the malleability of the human psyche here, and how the potential horrors mankind can unleash unto itself can install a special kind of terror than no mythical creature could conjure.”

If you’re keen on checking out the previous entries in the series, you can find Mothmen 1966 and Varney Lake digitally on Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.
