It’s a new year, which means that it won’t be too long before the Game Developers Conference, or GDC for short, is going to begin. Nintendo is no stranger to GDC, as they have attended it in previous years. However, Nintendo has something interesting planned for attendees this year.

You see, it has been announced that a Kirby and the Forgotten Land developer panel will be taking place at GDC 2023. The panel will feature Kirby series director Shinya Kumazaki and Kirby and the Forgotten Land director Tatsuya Kamiyama discussing how the game came to be.

Although Kirby and the Forgotten Land is the main topic of the panel, it won’t be the only one. The panel will be taking place around a month after Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe has released. So, they will also be talking a little about that game.

The panel is apparently part of the celebrations of Kirby‘s 30th anniversary. In fact, the panel’s listing on the official schedule recommends that attendees “close out the 30th anniversary of Kirby with this session celebrating Kirby’s multi-dimensional milestone year”. GDC 2023 takes place from March 20th through 24th.
