Since the beginning of April NECA has been uploading regular updates on their various social media channels (primarily Youtube) about the 1990 TMNT April O’Neil Ultimate figure in collaboration with the actress who played her in the film Judith Hoag.
This past Tuesday was the final update on the figure and the pre-order details on the upcoming figure and I have to say personally I am very impressed with the figure. Though I should note at this time of writing the Signature Edition has already sold out on the NECA Store. The only difference between the Signature Edition and Ultimate Edition is that the Signature Edition comes with a hand-signed press badge and the classic yellow coat that she wears briefly in the film. Also, it should be noted that the Signature Edition was limited to 2000 and has already long sold out.
I have to say I personally think the figure looks fantastic and I am really pleased with all the accessories that she comes with and I would be more than happy to get the Ultimate version and I couldn’t afford the Signature Edition and the extras that come with that one are very nice. I’m also very stoked that this is available for international customers so it won’t be too much of a pain to get here in the UK.
Also I really do like the teaser image of the unmasked Casey Jones figure which looks to have a brand new head and some new arms as the articulation is different. I wonder how NECA would release him? I guess only time will tell. Right now I am very excited for the April O’Neil figure and I am looking to order her soon.
