Once again, the curse of Resident Evil online has reared its ugly head. Those in the Resident Evil Ambassador Program have begun receiving emails stating that Resident Evil Re:Verse is being delayed from its launch next month.

Originally, the online companion multiplayer game was supposed to ship with Resident Evil Village. That is no longer the case, as the game appears to have been delayed to Summer 2021. No further information was announced in the emails.

Given that the open beta test last month had to be pulled due to matchmaking issues (though it subsequently came back later), this isn’t boding well for Capcom in their attempts to get Resident Evil successful in an online capacity.

Resident Evil Village is due out May 7th, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Google Stadia and PC via Steam.
