Last night was the last night of NYCC 2020 and NECA dropped some teasers for some upcoming products.
Earlier this year NECA revealed more images of their upcoming Gremlins 2: The New Batch Ultimate Greta figure that they initially showed off earlier this year. The other teaser is for an unknown figure as the teaser is just a scientific-looking glass with an unknown liquid inside.
NECA has done a fantastic job with their Ultimate Gremlins figures and Greta has been on fan’s wishlist for a long time and it looks like she’s finally joining the line later this year or early next year. She looks absolutely fantastic. At this point in time, it’s unclear what accessories she’ll come with but you can see in the images that she comes with a potion bottle of some description and her boa and I’m sure she’ll come with more. Undoubtedly this figure will sell well as she’s one of the most iconic Gremlins in the film.
For the other teaser, it’s completely unknown what it’s for but you can have your guesses. When NECA uploaded the image to social media they used a quote from the cult classic British sitcom The Young Ones and NECA debunked that this teaser has nothing to do with that.
If I was to guess I think this accessory would be for a Reanimator Ultimate Herbert West figure. As NECA has released a retro version a few years ago which sold very well and Reanimator is a household name so it’s rather likely or I could be completely wrong and it could be for something completely different. Only time will tell I guess.
