Proletariat Inc’s. Spellbreak has achieved a milestone of 5 million players since its release only three weeks ago. The game is an animated battle royale that features magic to dish out damage to opponents, with different classes - such as Pyromancer and Frostborn - available to suit gamers’ different playstyles. Players can also unlock and equip different talents to give them an edge over their opponents.

Fans of Apex Legends might feel at home in Spellbreak due to the similarity in their graphics, but the latter’s focus on third-person magical combat as opposed to first-person shooting make it a whole different game. Players can utilize different runes, such as flight, dash, invisibility, and more to enhance their maneuverability on the battlefield, coupling some agility and defense with their offensive capabilities. True to most live service games on the market today, Spellbreak also offers different cosmetic options for classes that players can acquire using gold earned in the game as they level up their characters.

As the game continues picking up steam, Proletariat Inc. announced that the game has reached over 5 million players since its release three weeks ago. Those 5 million users have also racked up several different stats Proletariat Inc. shared. Since the game’s release, Spellbreak fans have watched 4 million hours of the game on Twitch, sent 4 million messages in the game’s official Discord server, and dealt 25 billion spell damage. The top three countries in which the most Spellbreak players reside, in order, are the United States, Japan, and Brazil. The Discord server has more than 300,000 members and has accumulated over 1.25 million “voice minutes.”

Before Spellbreak’s release, it was a barely known quantity. It wasn’t being covered by many publications, as it’s not the kind of game considered mainstream by any stretch of the imagination. Often, titles such as this get buried under more trendy topics, such as the next generation of consoles or yet another entry in a popular franchise – such as Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, . which may give Spellbreak more competition with its integration with Call of Duty: Warzone. Therefore, for Spellbreak to reach so many people in such a relatively short period is a testament to the quality Proletariat Inc. has offered.

It helps that the battle royale genre has skyrocketed in popularity since the releases of PUBG and Fortnite, but the success Spellbreak has seen remains remarkable regardless. Seeing a previously unknown entity trend upwards to spectacularly is always a fascinating and praiseworthy occurrence. Hopefully, Proletariat Inc. continues to capitalize on the game’s momentum through further innovation and quality output.
