Iron Man, The Armored Avenger, is one of the earth’s most resourceful humans, smart enough to both save and jeopardize the entire world on multiple occasions. Tony Stark is a billionaire and genius without the suit but needs it if he wants to fight evil alongside his fellow Avengers. We have seen the power of Tony’s innovative suits countless times in comics through characters like Iron Spider and War Machine. Iron Man suits of armor give their users all sorts of enhancements and abilities including flight, strength, and an arsenal of weapons.
Black Cat was able to nab one of Iron Man’s suits and use it to enhance her abilities in Black Cat #12. The skilled cat-burglar used a diversion as an opportunity to fashion her own suit inside Stark Unlimited. Black Cat, already extremely agile thanks to her acrobatics training, seemed even more graceful in the air. Though Tony had much more experience using Iron Man suits, Black Cat’s flexibility made avoiding missiles and energy blasts a breeze. Her aerial maneuvers were so skillful even Tony was in disbelief.
Black Cat was not able to build the suit to its full capabilities in her haste to get away. She only had the time to equip electronic defenses, flight boosters, and claws. With an incomplete suit of armor Black Cat successfully downed Iron Man clawing at his back with her custom armor suit claws. Tony was sent plunging down towards a body of water.
In this exciting issue of Black Cat, Felicia Hardy proved that she could take Iron Man in an aerial battle if given the proper equipment. After years of training honing acrobatic skills and fighting techniques, Marvel’s Black Cat brings bad luck to any enemies that may cross her path. Is Felicia Hardy the most capable Marvel character to pilot one of Tony Stark’s suits? Or was it just beginner’s luck?
