The dust is still settling after the fall out from Bravo cleaning house on Vanderpump Rules. For days now the news has spread about the four cast members who were fired. Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute are paying a much higher price than the two boys, Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni, since the women have lost many endorsement deals. Other members are reportedly nervous that the show will be canceled all together, causing a financial hit for everyone. Many fans have already pointed out as the season aired that the cast seemed disjointed and not able to connect.

But how much could cast members actually be losing? As of season 8, it was reported by The Hollywood Reporter that some original cast members were making $25,000 per episode. The cast used to make only $1,400 per episode, meaning they only just made $10,000 for the early seasons. The most popular cast members made a gross annual salary of $600,000.

The simple fact is every cast member will be affected financially. Some, like the Tom’s have managed to extend their empire as they opened bars while others like Jax Taylor have only concentrated on their brand at SUR.  The driving force behind moving away from the VPR brand will likely be Tom’s saving grace. But if the show ends, their brand ends. Obviously, Doute and Schroeder are being hit the hardest since both have lost endorsement deals. Both also penned a book, which was thanks to their show personality. Schroeder also had her podcast taken away. All of these outlets garnered financial success.

Only time will tell if sticking with VPR brand only will hurt the rest of the cast. Many fans think it is safe to say the show will be axed. There are just too many reality shows predominantly featuring young white kids. The public wants and deserves more. As for Doute and Stassi’s part in the downfall, they really have no one else to blame but themselves. Both were adults when they chose to act ignorantly and should have known right from wrong.
