Marvel announces Agents of SHIELD season 7 will premiere at the end of May with the first poster. Marvel TV and ABC joined forces after the phenomenon of The Avengers to bring the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and a revived Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg), to the small screen. Over the last several years, Agents of SHIELD has seen its quality rise amid dipping ratings, which routinely put the Marvel series on the bubble for cancellation.

After a somewhat surprising pick up for season 6, ABC announced early on that Agents of SHIELD was renewed for season 7, with it later revealed it would be the final season. The series has recently dealt with time travel and alternate timelines, which have set up season 7 to take place in the past. Early photos for season 7 have teased the 1930s setting for Agents of SHIELD‘s final season, but it had yet to be revealed when new episodes of the series will begin airing.
