The first of two Control expansions is out later this month.

Remedy has announced the release date for Control‘s The Foundation expansion. The add-on is out March 26, and Remedy released a brief trailer to go with today’s news.

The trailer suggests the search for the Bureau’s head of operation, Helen Marshall, will be the story’s main focus. Marshall was introduced in the main game, but disappeared abruptly shortly after. Her fate remained a mystery by the end of the game.

The Foundation, like all Control content, will also take place in The Oldest House, the game’s fantastical building. The name suggests, however, that we may be about to learn more about the mysterious history of the place. The Oldest House is one of Control’s best qualities; an ever-morphing, impossible setting for the game’s many concepts.

Midway through 2020, Control’s final expansion, AWE, will be released. When Remedy first teased it, it strongly suggested that it would involve Alan Wake in some way.

It’s also worth noting that when the expansions were initially announced, the developer said they would release first on PS4, but today’s trailer doesn’t feature any platform logos. We’ve asked publisher 505 Games to clarify.
