It’s not that common for a big franchise to dominate different media at the same time, but that’s exactly what’s happening with Star Wars in film, streaming, and video games – and fans are truly enjoying it.

Star Wars Is Dominating The Last Weeks of 2019

Disney+ arrived with a bunch of content available at launch, including the Star Wars series The Mandalorian. The show is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order, and follows lone bounty hunter Dyn Jarren (played by Pedro Pascal) in the outer reaches of the galaxy, very far from the authority of the New Republic. The Mandalorian has been a big success and one of Disney+’s most attractive shows, and has been dominating TV discussion since its release. And it has baby Yoda, which has definitely helped boost the series’ popularity.

A few days after the arrival of The Mandalorian, the video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was released. The game is set shortly after the events in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and lets players take control of a young Jedi trainee named Cal Kestis, who is being hunted by the Empire. Jedi Fallen Order has been praised for its plot, characters, and gameplay, although it had some glitches and technical issues. Last but definitely not least is Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, releasing in December, which is one of the most anticipated films of the year and will bring closure to four decades of Skywalker history. Star Wars is having one of its biggest years in 2019, and fans won’t have to struggle looking for new content as they have some really good options to choose from in different formats.
