In June, Square Enix surprised fans with the announcement of Final Fantasy Resonance, a new HD-2D turn-based title on its way to the Switch 1 & 2 this October.
The team has already released a few trailers, and now a new one focuses on the Vision, Warrior of Light, who will be able to battle alongside you. Here’s the description of the character, and you can check out the video above:
“This world is unique, as it is where the crystalline legacy was formed. It was also for a time shrouded in darkness – its four elemental Crystals bereft of light.
However, a lone individual endeavored to lift this caliginous veil – a stalwart champion foretold of in an ancient prophecy.
“That individual was the Warrior of Light, and it is with him you shall endeavor to forge a bond.”
When Resonance launches for Nintendo’s platforms on 22nd October 2026, you can expect a strategic battle system, dramatic story and cut scenes, voiced characters, as well as Chocobo and airship travel. You’ll also boost your party with these “Visions” – aka echoes of beloved Final Fantasy characters.
