A lot of Marvel Legends collectors’ hearts dropped yesterday when the Hasbro Marvel team confirmed there would be a singular Marvel Legends Build-A-Figure series for 2026, but Hasbro followed up by announcing it was a diverse universe-building wave with something for almost everyone! Featuring the long-lost Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider, a cancelled Toybiz figure fans waited 30 years for and key members of the X-Men, Dark Avengers and Alpha Flight, the Marvel Legends Box Build-A-Figure series are now up for order!

While they’re almost certainly the characters from this wave that will leave more collectors scratching their heads than any others, I feel like I’m forced to lead with the Alpha Flight entries in the set: Marinna and the Box Build-A-Figure.
Hasbro released a whole Alpha Flight box set as an Amazon exclusive that I reviewed way back in 2019, and I genuinely never thought we’d see Marinna -or- Box added to the team. I found that Alpha Flight set rather average at the time, but 6 figures for $110 seems like an insanely good value by today’s standards!

I think the true highlight of this wave for many fans is going to be the new “Outback X-Men” Psylocke figure. Hasbro has been treating Psylocke fans well over the years, and this classic Betsy Braddock is arguably the last really significant look for the character that they hadn’t covered before.

The figure from this wave with easily the coolest trivia behind it is the ForceWorks US Agent Legends figure. Archaic relics like me who have been collecting way too long will remember this version of US Agent as a figure promoted for the 90s Toybiz Iron Man animated series 3 line of figures (shown below).

The flaming hair and bendable chain are super cool; I’m really delighted to finally get this rad design in toy form. The Hasbro team said they could possibly look at some sort of future release for the Hell Charger as well, which I’m sure “Ghost Driver” would really appreciate!

We previously got a 6” Lady Deadpool in the 2018 Sauron BAF Series, but this one has been brought up to modern standards. I need the Box Build-A-Figure head to complete Box (obviously), so I guess I’m buying her.

Are you bummed that we’re officially only getting one new Build-A-Figure this year, Marvel collectors? What figures from this eclectic assortment (if any) strike your fancy, and what will you be passing up?
