Fantasia 2025 is mere weeks away, and we can’t wait to experience as much genre cinema as possible. One of those highly anticipated titles is the Canadian short film Heirlooms, written and directed by Dan Abramovici. In the new film, a young woman confronts her family trauma with deadly results. Ahead of the film’s world premiere at Fantasia, we have an exclusive first look image from the film, as well as its chilling poster!
In the short film, “Jaime’s quest for healing leads her to restore a family heirloom. But what begins as a therapeutic project soon spirals into a battle against an ancient evil that has plagued her bloodline for generations.“

Heirlooms is the first film to come out of the new venture, Boundless Imaginations, the international arm of Zeus Pictures. Co-founded by Ali Mashayekhi and Zeus Kontoyannis, the company is developing a slate of feature films aimed at the international film market. Mashayekhi and Kontoyannis produced the short film.
Heirlooms will have its World Premiere at Fantasia on July 27th, 2025.
