New Line Cinema’s Companion will make its global streaming debut on Friday, April 18, exclusively on Max. It will then debut on HBO on Saturday, April 19 at 8 pm ET.

If you missed this one in theaters because you saw Heart Eyes instead, now is a good time to give it a watch. It’s not exactly a twist on the the AI horror genre, in fact the trailer contians many spoilers, but it’s still fun nonetheless.

Director Drew Hancock manages to weave a great story within this mystery, and the performances from Sophie Thatcher and Jack Quaid are excellent. Throw in a fun turn by Lukas Gage and Companion delivers a satisfying thrill.

Mark your calenders and keep up with your Max subscription to watch this must-see sci-fi horror movie.
