Wisecracking demon hunter for hire Dante takes on an entire army of monsters in the official trailer for “Devil May Cry

While Limp Bizkit‘s “Rollin’” serves as the show’s opening credit theme, the trailer is set to another nu metal anthem: Papa Roach‘s “Last Resort.”

Based on the Capcom video game franchise, the eight-episode anime series releases on April 3 on Netflix.

Sinister forces are at play at the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon hunter for hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.

Johnny Yong Bosch (“Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” Akira) voices Dante. Fans will recognize him as Nero, Dante’s nephew, in the video games.

The series is created by Adi Shankar (“Castlevania,” Dredd), who also serves as showrunner, and produced by South Korean animation studio Studio Mir (“The Legend of Korra,” “X-Men ’97”).

Created by Hideki Kamiya, the first Devil May Cry game was released in 2001. There are now five main games in addition to several reboots, spin-offs, special editions, and mobile games.
