It’s that time of the week again where its time to find out how video gaming hardware and physical gaming software did in Japan. Famitsu has decided to release the latest boxed video game and hardware charts. This time, it’s for for the week of January 13th to 19th. As usual, both of these sales charts are followed by lifetime sales.

This week was a very successful one for Nintendo. Out of the 10 games listed on the software sales chart, 7 of them are Switch games. One of those games is Donkey Kong Country Returns HD. This is the first weekly gaming charts to be posted by Famitsu since the game released, and it has debuted on the charts at #1. Meanwhile, the Switch OLED model was #1 on the hardware sales charts.
