After being announced way back in June 2023, Why Not AI and Touched by Grace’s Lovecraftian Narrative RPG HPL: Nyarlathotep Rising will finally get a release next month. In addition to announcing a February 19 release on Steam, Why Not AI and Touched by Grace have also announced an introductory podcast to the game.

Set amidst the fallout of a world shaken by the Wall Street crash of 1929, Nyarlathotep Rising sees you taking control of one of three people —Anna, Mark or Victor— each having a different psychic predisposition about the world around them. You must guide them physically and psychologically through the upcoming turmoil, as cultists seek the rebirth of Nyarlathotep. Your decisions drive both the fate of your current character’s destiny, and that of the two other characters who evolve alongside you. Will you become a zealot of The Crawling Chaos, or try to stand against him?

HPL: Nyarlathotep Rising is an immersive visual novel with a Lovecraftian atmosphere, supported by captivating settings, complex characters and an intriguing soundtrack. Throughout your adventure, you must collect information and clues, artifacts, weapons and spells to help you face the cultists and other unseen monsters. Your interactions with the other characters, your discoveries, your questions, your use of objects, all influence the rest of the scenario and lead to one of many possible endings.

Meanwhile, you can check out the introductory podcast below.
