UNCORK’D Entertainment recently unleashed “The Beast Inside”, co-written & directed by Jim Towns, co-written, produced and starring Sadie Katz, also starring Vernon Wells & Laurene Landon, with music written & performed by composer Randy Edelman and executive produced by Mario Reyes,  John Pasquale, Jimmy Star & Eileen Beth Shapiro. “The Beast Inside” is a self-exorcism based thriller with a strong and driven female based protagonist.

The film follows Anne (Sadie Katz) as she struggles to rid herself of a family inherited demonic force from the depths of Hell that possess her & threatens her life and  that of her young son. After her mother played by seasoned actress Laureen Landon (Maniac Cop, Airplane 2) dies a horrible and gruesome death, Anne seeks the help of an ex-communicated Priest portrayed by veteran actor Vernon Wells (Mad Max, Commando), who is plagued with a dark and unspeakable secret. She pursues advice from a psychologist, a Reiki expert and other avenues but is continually dismissed. Finally, Anne is forced to take matters into her own hands and perform an exorcism on herself. Is she successful in the end…that remains to be seen.

The film definitively keeps you on the edge of your seat and you are overtly rooting for the characters to escape the darkness. “The Beast Inside is more than just another possession saga but a reimagined narrative driven by a fearless heroine who fights for her destiny” says Keith Leopard, the President of Uncorked.

Katz is an accomplished actress especially in the horror genre (Wrong Turn 6: The Last Resort), and this continues to hold true in The Beast Inside. She loves her son played by Pressly James Crosby, and would do anything to protect him and you feel that heartfelt connection. Even The Beast (Victoria De Mare) has its own persona. The cast gives strong support and includes Anthony Preston, Denise Milfort, Danelle Von Visger, Kim Marie Austin, John Pasquale, Ron Russell and Ben Stobber. The film is eerie, haunting and very dark, yet believable.

The music of world renowned composer Randy Edelman, credited with over 100 film and television soundtracks (My Cousin Vinny, Ghostbusters ll, Last of the Mohicans, MacGyver, Anaconda),  ties the movie together like glue giving each scene an ominous life of its own. His legendary touch to this horror thriller elevated the movie’s emotional and atmospheric intensity with Gregorian chants, unearthly drones, and enchanting, ghostly dynamics, yet there is an overwhelming sweetness to his score that makes the characters vulnerable and their plight sorrowful.

The Beast Inside is on VOD on Amazon Prime, iTunes, Apple, DIRECTV, Roku, Dish, Xbox, YouTube, and other digital platforms. The film is a rollercoaster of fright and a worthy addition to the horror genre.
