“Valentine Bluffs Massacre – Part 04”

Explosion! Ruby and Zeke have accidentally triggered a hidden bomb inside the Cage Bar & Grill downtown. But that is not all. Someone has locked all the doors at the Hanniger Mine meeting hall, trapping the Valentine’s Day party goers inside. Wait, who is the creepy old guy in the wheelchair? Does he have the keys to open the doors?

Elsewhere, Major TJ Hanniger and his high school squeeze, Sarah Palmer, race to the mine with news of the in-town murders. Will they make it to the party in time to warn the others? As TJ guns the Humvee up the old gravel road, he continues to call his police officers in vain but none of them are responding. Have they been murdered too? Ten minutes to the mine complex and counting. Will their friends last that long?

Reviewer Notes

It’s been decades since the original Valentine Bluffs Massacre and all the old players are back for round two. American Mythology Productions did a killer job (no pun intended) with this sequel. If you are into 1980s low budget horror movies, you don’t want to miss out on this. It will leave you wanting more.

There is a one-shot being released this December featuring the Valentine’s Bluffs murderer and the killer Santa from “Silent Night Deadly Night”. It looks like a war between homicidal maniacs may be brewing. So watch out for that.

As far as this issue goes, I give it four out of five stars. The miniseries as a whole gets a four-star salute. I love anytime a comic book company pays homage to the classics.
